This Monday, Corinthians beat Botafogo 90 to 75, at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, in São Paulo, in the fifth round of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) and won again after defeat to Flamengo in the last game.

With the result, Corinthians reached their third victory in the competition and maintained 100% at Parque São Jorge. Botafogo, in turn, remains with just one victory.

How was the game
After a disputed start to the first quarter, Corinthians managed to open an eight-point lead over Botafogo and close the period 20-12.
Corinthians remained ahead throughout the second quarter. In the end, they doubled the advantage gained in the previous quarter and went into the break with 48 to 29 on the scoreboard.
Botafogo came back from the break better and managed to break through the São Paulo team’s defense, which was very well positioned during the second quarter. With that, they reduced the disadvantage to 13 points and ended the period at 65 to 52.
In the last quarter, Corinthians put pressure on Botafogo again and managed to secure a 90-75 victory, 15 points more than their opponent.
